The current situation

No other sector has experienced such rapid development over the last few years as IT and technology-focused businesses. Almost 1.5 million people across Germany are now employed in the IT sector and related areas alone. The sector generates an annual gross value added of approx. 150 billion Euros, and is characterized by an unusually lively market dynamic. Products and applications can experience high demand one day and be outdated and of minimal value the next, with successful market participants therefore required to continuously make considerable investment in research and development. In addition to significant financial expenditure, this also involves constant efforts to recruit highly qualified employees.

How we respond

Our services focus on strengthening the competitive ability of our clients. To give some examples, we provide consultancy on the optimization of balance sheet structure (e.g. capitalization of R&D expenses), the determination and documentation of transfer prices and the tax- and insurance-related implications of sending employees to work abroad or bringing in foreign personnel to work on a temporary or full-time basis. In addition, we support our clients in the IT and technology sector by applying planning tools that are tailored to investment, revenue and liquidity planning.
